In the beginning it was an institution for training lay workers and ministers in Advent Christian Church. Within a short span of time its name was changed to Mendota College that provides a full collegiate curriculum with a liberal base in arts. Aurora University is an independent, private and comprehensive institution. It strength exceeds over 4,000 students.
