The author offers what he suggests is the reason why in a nation that boasts approximately 50% of it's populace to be born again evangelicals, that the promotion of evil continues to abound. If so great a portion of the American populace claims a relationship with the God of the Bible why can not the practices of abortion, homosexuality, pornography, 50% taxes, divorce, cohabitation of couples out side of marriage, teen sex,the exclusion of the name of God and His law from public life and institutions, and many other vices not be held at bay, or even eradicated?
