This country has never seen a disaster on this scale, so the impacts are hard to estimate. The National Association of Home Builders released a report on September 2, 2005 (see http://www.nahb.org/news_details.aspx?sectionID=148&newsID=1572 for the full report) providing historical price increases for building materials after recent major hurricanes.
