Looking for a new home is fun, but getting the mortgage can be a nightmare if you are not careful, it can be a scary and confusing endeavor unless you are prepared. By knowing exactly what lenders are looking for, and all the paperwork that will be required will make this experience a little easier. When applying for a mortgage you must understand that the home you are financing is used as collateral, what that means is if you don't pay your loan as it is required the lender has the right to take your home.
