The author recites various details of the abduction and release of Captain Phillips, the commander of an American cargo vessel who was held by four pirates off the coast of Somalia, until being freed by the US Navy Seal's slaying of three of his four captors. Using the Holy Scripture as a point of reference the author gives comment on the character of this action, asking piercing questions as to why other American citizens have not been protected against aggressors that have taken their lives, and why America does not follow God's commandment and execute the death penalty upon those who by definition of the Scripture are worthy of death.
