The Linguistic uses of Heap in Bible and Quran by Dr. Ibrahim Khalil Expert
[ 2007-06-03 ]
According to the Bible, the Lord thy God says: burn with fire the city, it shall be a Heap for ever and shall not be built again; I will Heap mischiefs and spend mine arrows upon them. Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an Heap for ever and a great Heap of stones is made upon the carcase of the king of Ai. With the jawbone of an ass, Heaps upon Heaps, Samson had slain a thousand men. I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous Heaps. For thou hast made of a city an Heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous Heap.
Although the Heap is mentioned three times in the Quran, however, the meanings of the three verses of the Heap are not found in the Bible. The Quran talks about the Human nature and behavior, The Last day in this life and the Heap in the Everlasting Life.

The Linguistic uses of Crooked in Bible and Quran by Dr. Ibrahim Khalil Expert
[ 2007-06-02 ]
The Bible says that the children of Israel are perverse and crooked generation and the way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths. Also, the Bible declares that God's hand has formed the crooked serpent and the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the crooked serpent. The Bible tells us that the crooked cannot be made straight and He hath made my paths crooked. However, the Bible says that God can make that straight, which he hath made crooked; the crooked shall be made straight; I will make the crooked things straight and the crooked shall be made straight
On the other hand, the Quran cites what the Prophet "shu'aib" said to his people; what Allah says to the people of the Book? In addition, the Quran says that those who prefer this life more than the everlasting life = the great error and those who bar others from the path of Allah and desire to make it crooked, they disbelieve in the everlasting life. Then, the Quran declares that there is no crookedness in the Quran and the everlasting life is true and there is no crookedness at the Day of Judgment.
