Some More new features
April 3rd, 2008Hi all,
Free-Articles-Zone changes as the search engine world changes, and as we get more and more articles (currently more than 100,000).
Recently, we have added some more new features with the intention to better serve our autors, and fight SPAM at the same time.
So… just to keep you posted, here’s a partical list of new features:
- Contact Article Author - in order to allow our readers and authors to communicate directly - without our involvement, each article was added a new button: contact the author”. When clicked, this opens a contact form, which is sent directly to the author email.
Of course the form has a captcha module - so that authors do not receive spam email, and the author’s email is not visible in any manner. - Report This article - Fighting SPAM is a daily war we take part in, and a joint cause for us at free-articles-zone and all our authors. If we manage to keep Free-articles-zone spam - free, we will all benefit. This new button allows readers as well as authors report a bad article in case they see one, and help us with this ongoing task of keeping our website clean.
- My stats page - every author, once logged in, now has the ability to view all his articles by category, and how many impressions every article had during the current month, as well as all-time.
- 4 more signatures - every author now has 4 more signatures he can choose from when submitting an article. Managing your signatures is done on the “My profile” page - once logged in.
- Cookies - Yoour login details are now cookie-based aswell as session based, so that next time you login, the system will remember you for further logins. In order to log out you must click the Logout link twice
That’s it for now,
Michal
New Features
January 7th, 2008Hi All,
On December 31st we made a promise for all Free Articles Zone authors, and the promise was that 2008 is about to be a year for our authors.
This means that most of our website changes during the coming months will be intended at making FAZ a better place for our authors.
This is the first update of 2008 regarding system changes, and the changes are:
- Author spotlight on homepage - We have added 10 random author spotlights on the right side of the website homepage. This will create credibility with the website readers, and grant authors one more place for exposing their details.
In order to be included in that random list, you must upload your picture. This can be done by logging into the system - in the “My profile” page. - Author horizontal menu - up until now, authors had to scroll down the website in order to view their author’s menu.
Starting today - after you login, you will be able to see a special horizontal menu at the top of every page, which will let you preform the most common tasks easily, and find your way through the FAZ system. - More recent articles - At the bottom of every article, you will notice we have added more articles in the same category. This feature makes the entire website “stickier”, and has already proved to keep visitors in the website for a longer time.
- Have any Suggestions? Not a new feature, but one we would love for you to use: at the bottom of the left strip, we have a feedback link, in which you can leave your suggestions. We always follow up on these e-mails, and frequently make the suggested changes. So don’t hesitate to leave us your ideas!
Best Regards,
Michal Moreno,
Chief Editor

The new year has just started, and we at Free Articles Zone have been looking forward to it.
Just like many of you, we have also summed up our new year resolution list, and I think this is a good time to let you know of it.
It includes many tactic expected moves, but if we want to wrap it all up to one Strategic objective - 2008 is intended to be your year - the year of Free-Articles-Zone Authors.
In the coming days we will launch a number of new features, which have all been thought of in order to make Free Articles Zone a better place for authors.
So… Don’t forget to check back on us shortly for system updates.

90,000 Articles!
November 16th, 2007Just a moment before we hit the big 100K destination, today we have hit 90,000 approved articles!
As you all know, every article on Free-Articles-Zone is read by our team and approved for publishing.
So, this incredible number means for us that we have already read much more than 90,000 articles, and those 90,000 were found to be adequate with our Editorial Guidelines.
So… I’d like to congratulate our meticulous editorial crew, and welcome the 100,000th article!

Article Approval Times
September 27th, 2007Good Morning,
Free Articles Zone is rapidly growing, and the number of new articles we receive per day is exponentially increasing.
Our editorial crew is also growing, but it takes some time to train new editors. In the meanwhile, I would like to ask for your patience as we expect article approval times to grow longer.
So - Please take a deep breath, and give us a couple of weeks for article approval.
We- in return, promise to do our best to keep the line as short as we can.
Best Regards,
Michal Moreno,
Chief Editor
This is NOT an automated system!
July 7th, 2007Good Morning,
As all Free-Articles-Zone active authors must already know - we only approve the publishing of articles that correspond with our Editorial Guidelines. This is to insure the quality of our database, and better serve our authors as well as the publishers who use our website for gathering fresh content to their content websites.
As much as we make sure to emphasize our quality control editing, every once in a while we receive SPAM articles submitted by human or robot spammers who try and test the level of our alertness.
Of course these articles never get approved for publishing - and maybe this is a good place to say it once more -
WE READ ALL ARTICLES !
So- spammers - keep out!
To better quality content,
Michal Moreno,
Chief Editor
What makes an article popular
March 7th, 2007One of Free-Articles-Zone most interesting pages is the “most viewed” page.
On that page you will find a list of all our most popular articles, and from that list there is much to learn.
Since most of our traffic comes from search engines, and especialy Google - The most viewed list represents the articles that get more search traffic, that is - articles that rank higher on serch results on Google and other search engines.
If we investigate into the reasons those articles hit the higher places, there are a number to list:
- Original Content - the article was all written by the author who has used his own original language and expressions.
- “Long tail” keyworded title - the article title aims at a 4 or 5 word expressin which is commonly used and has low competition on search engines.
- Niche subject
I hope that equipts you with tools for more outstanding articles.

Chief Editor
New categories added
November 20th, 2006Dear Authors,
As you all know Free-Articles-Zone has grown a great deal in recent months, and we now present more than 40,000 articles.
During this period, we have gathered your requests for new categories and added many new categories.
Now that the number of categories on our atabase has grown, you will find that many of your older articles are not presented in the best category, and that there is a better category for your article.
Expert authors are requested to look through you list of articles and see that each is placed in the correct categoty, or change the category to the correct one, and all others may contact us with the changes they wish to make to their articles’ catecories.
Best Wishes,
Michal Moreno,
Chief Editor
