Never to old to learn

I was four, soon to be five in October. School would be starting up the day after Labor Day. I was eager to start school but was scared to have my vaccination. I wanted to have the circle on my arm that the vaccination left from the scaring. All the kids that were in school had them. Other kids told me that the shot hurt but I wanted it anyway and wanted to go to school.

Jogging?€”All around benefits

At the age of 23, I became over weight. I was unhappy with myself and my life. I decided that I needed to do something to get rid of the excess baggage.
I lost my brother twice

My brother, Bobby, was the oldest of eight children born in our family. He was protective of his sisters—always hugging us and watching out for us. He loved his family until one day we were taken away. He turned to drugs and alcohol to escape the hurt and pain.

Life after abuse, there is a rainbow

Women are ten times more likely than men to be victimized. Battered women have more than twice the health care needs and more costly than those who have never been battered. Women who were victimized as a child are more likely to attract men who are abusive or they are abusive themselves. Every day four women die in this country as a result of domestic violence. Every 9 seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten.

I Remember When

I remember when as a child of not having enough to eat, sharing with seven brothers and sisters. Wanting more to eat at supper time but the food was gone. I remember of the hunger in my belly while trying to sleep at night remembering the taste of rabbits and hens that my father raised, the vegetables in the not big enough garden he planted. The berries we picked and ate during the day to help the hunger.

Natural Disasters

Natural disasters cause devastation and disruption in our lives, resulting in long-term effects. Tornadoes are one such natural disaster, and in fact, they are the most common and occur the most often. Usually, there are warnings to alert communities before a tornado strikes but not in all cases.

Survivor of Abuse

Women all over the world experience physical and emotional pain from their abusers. So alone and afraid to tell anyone what is happening. Each time it happens, the numbness is stronger. Emotionally drained—you can’t feel the physical pain anymore.

The rottweiler and the Labrador retriever are both great dogs and pets. Neither of these dogs originated from the United States but from other parts of the world. Both the rot and the Lab are classified in different dog groups but are still much the same.
