Frederick Leighton is one of the most brilliant artists of the Victorian Era, a Pre-Raphaelite his art like so many others from that era harkens back to the ancient and classical times of Greece and Rome. It is perhaps this painting that has made Leighton the most famous because of its memorable beauty. As décor for you child’s room this painting would go good with any room that did not have an overwhelming color scheme because part of the beauty of this painting is how overwhelming it is, so outside colors should not overpower or undersell it. Though in truth Leighton in general is always a good choice for as his art is elegant and serenely powerful without being overwhelming, allowing children to pay attention to them as they want.
