Art for Children can take on a more personal touch as you perform some of the major pieces yourself. To do this you can use large presentation boards and doors, working to create works much as you would create a scrapbook, with interesting pieces of art. These collages are décor and so if you choose you can take this a step further by mixing in hand paintings between and around the primary pieces of work.
The in-between paintings would be much less time consuming then a full mural and so you could paint it yourself or hire someone to help you bring a specific vision to life, art students or teachers, or other types of artists could actually provide low cost solutions should price be an issue. This is especially true with the internet when you can post gigs such as these on Craigslist for free.
The collage effect would in either case allow you to be in full control over the artistic process no matter your drawing skill level. So by placing the images you want to be central onto the final result you will be able to help create a wonderful work of art for your child. Such works of art are limited only by your imagination and could be very personal in nature. You could for example pick pictures of family members to bring them into the baby’s nursery in a cute creative way. This could help you feel more comforted in the child’s room as will and could provide you with a nice piece of art for later in life. The memories that such collages will give you as you find them in storage later alone will be worth much more then the effort to create them.
Fantasy themes are also easier to pull off with collages which utilize paintings to tie the images together. There are after all an exciting number of fantasy images of every sort and type available that just don’t seem to fit together the way you would want. In addition by putting and matching images together it is possible to tell a whole story, something that would be very difficult to paint.
As mentioned these collages could be on presentation boards rather then the walls of the child’s room. By placing the collages on presentation boards you will be able to change out the boards not only as the child grows older but as the seasons change, allowing you to have fall boards, Babies First Christmas Boards and more. In this way the nursery art of your kid’s room would always reflect how you and they felt.
As the child gets older these collages could take on art projects for children. Toddlers to first grade the creation of new collages could be an exciting family event, one which would help to build your child’s creativity and help you here the stories they have to tell, giving you key incites into what is currently important to them.
As you have finished with each collage it can be stored easily, as presentation board though wide is flat and so can fit under nearly anything or in-between other boxes in storage. It is recommended that you place a blank board over the one with your art on it to preserve the former nursery decoration for the future.
