The certifications tests ensure you are up to scratch with Mystery Shopping jobs, before your engagement in a real scenario. Something to keep in mind is, certification may help you build your Mystery Shopping skills, and it does not guarantee a Mystery Shopping job. The advantage of being a certified Secret Shopper is that you get an edge over the non-certified Shoppers and enhance your chances to a wider range of Mystery Shopping jobs.

Is Mystery Shopping certification mandatory? No.
However many companies will only select Mystery Shoppers with certification.
