The real estate market throughout a number of different times in the history of the world has been defined by the next big thing. The next big thing is always something that comes along and turns the market on its head. Old assumptions become obsolete and many people have to change the way they think in order to become successful. The first time this happened in the real estate market was with the advent of the mortgage agreement and the second time it happened was when the number of people that owned property overtook the number of people that rented it.
The third time it has happened is either something that has already happened or else something that is set to happen in the very near future. That is basically the fact that the condominium has become so popular in the society. Before a few years ago, condominiums were thought of as class purchases; things that were bought by bachelor's looking for a completely independent lifestyle. Now, they are bought by people looking for an easy way to own a little space and in large urban areas where houses are expensive. It is important to expand on these points further, so below are two benefits to living in a condo and two benefits to owning a condo.
The best reason to live in a condo is simply the fact that it is far easier to maintain a condo than it is to maintain a house. There is much less cleaning and overall maintenance, so ultimately the upkeep is going to be a lot easier in terms of the effort that you as a home owner are required to give out as well as in terms of the financial expense that you are of course going to be required to incur.
Another benefit to living in a condo is that the condo staff and security are going to be around in order to ensure that you have a safe place to sleep at night. The condo fees that you pay every month in most cases partially get put towards paying security guards and with those security guards there, you have a much better safety system than you could ever hope to have with computerized and mechanical safety devices.
In terms of owning a condo, the best benefit that is present there is the fact that owning a condo is so cheap when compared to owning a house. Not just the maintenance costs which were discussed above, but also things like insurance, electricity and a number of other aspects end up being rolled into your monthly payment; a payment that in most cases still ends up being cheaper than a mortgage payment.
Additionally, condos have become so popular in society today that the resale value of well placed condos is skyrocketing. When you purchase a condo in a good area, you can expect the value of that condo to rise dramatically with each passing year.
