Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes are throwing a party to welcome their close friends David and Victoria Beckham to America. The Hollywood couple is tying-up party details with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith to organise the bash to welcome them at their place at Los Angeles on coming Saturday (July 21, 2007)

A New York Post newspaper was informed by a reliable source that the invitation cards printed on red velvet with tacky gold lettering have already been sent out to all invitees all over Hollywood. This, it reported, was made in honour of David, the Spice Girl Victoria, their three sons - Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four, and two-year-old Cruz – who had arrived in Los Angeles last Thursday (July 12, 2007). The couple moved to America after soccer star David signed to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy team. Victoria, 33, said recently: "We are all so excited about moving. The boys actually think they're moving to Disneyland!"

Cruise and Holmes, it is learnt, are presently staying in Berlin, Germany, with one-year-old daughter Suri. Tom Cruise is in the city of Berlin busy filming new movie, 'Valkyrie', a World War II episode. The movie story revolves around the historical plot of a failed attempt to assassinate Hitler. Tom is playing Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who is the mastermind behind the plot.

The news of Tom Cruise and Will Smith to play the chief hosts in the Beckham bash is circulating fast. It is finally decided that Tom Cruise and Will Smith will be hosting a celebrity-packed party to welcome the soccer superstar David Beckham and his wife Victoria, commonly known as a Spice Girl, to Los Angeles on Sunday, the 22nd of July 2007. David Beckhams’ family had already arrived in California on thursday last, ahead of David's upcoming debut for local soccer team L.A. Galaxy, set to take place on Saturday, the 21st of July, but this is conditional to his recovery from an ankle injury in time.

Tom, Smith, Family friends, and others will host Sunday's party comprising nearly 600 guests at the Museum Of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary in downtown Los Angeles. George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, Steven Spielberg, Anjelica Huston, David Geffen and Jerry Bruckheimer are among the prominent guests expected to attend the most talked about bash.
