There can be many cause of panic attack. The symptoms are scary. The feelings are scary. Many people feel as if they are going crazy or going to die. Nothing could be further from the truth. Many people have panic attacks and they are not crazy and they dont die.
A cause of panic attack can be obsessive-compulsive disorder, better known as OCD. People who are plagued with this disorder may have thoughts of anxiousness that they cannot control or need to follow rituals for mundane tasks, among other things. The compulsions are usually senseless and do not give the person performing them pleasure, but they may give the person relief from tension. This can be a cause of panic attack if the person is prevented from performing their OCD behaviors.
PTSD or more commonly known as post-traumatic stress disorder is a condition that comes behind a frightening event. This too can be a cause of panic attack. Those who suffer from this debilitating disorder have unrelenting thoughts and memories of their crisis, and can have feelings of being emotionally dead which causes them to pull back from their once close relationships. Events that may precipitate PTSD are being the victim of a violet crime, being witness to a disaster, or returning from the fields of war.
Another cause of panic attack can be separation anxiety disorder. This disorder is characterized as experiencing anxiety when a person or familiar surroundings are removed. This is usually a normal part of maturation, but when it continues past a certain age or is having a negative impact on ones lifestyle; it is time to seek help.
A common cause of panic attack is adjustment disorder. Persons experiencing this condition have symptoms that are not faked, but quite real. Their physiological symptoms may manifest because of feelings of not being in control or the inability to deal with major life changes or stress.
There are many cause of panic attack. People are seeking professional help more than ever. Panic attack is no longer a stigma that people feel ashamed of having. In a busy and stressful world, it can be difficult to take time for yourself and the results of that may manifest themselves in physical symptoms an become a cause of panic attack.
