The Mio Digiwalker A701 integrates a SirFStar III GPS receiver, mobile phone and PDA functions into one compact, distinctive product. With the SirfStar III chipset integrated the Mio Digiwalker A701 is capable of quick, reliable satellite fixes. Tri-Band GSM/GPRS phone functionality ensures that the A701 can be used in most countries and for internet and e-mail access. Windows Mobile 5 has been supplied and this provides new features including persistent memory and the latest office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Media Player 10.Based on the Intel PXA270 processor running at 520MHz the Mio Digiwalker A701 has a 2.7-inch screen, which is capable of displaying a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Conclusion
The overall impression from the Mio A701 is very positive. It is not the best device ever made in the world but however it excels many other PDAs. Excellent performance, fast processor, sufficient memory, fast graphics, with a sample 640x480 pixel video with 1.5 Mbit bit rate, which is a very good result and means that it is possible to watch both optimized and non-optimized video at a high quality, with some exceptions. This is definitely a competent device.
