Exercise acts as a sole idea to attain fitness in true sense. It has been termed as an essential part of every fitness schedule. Hence, it has been rightly commented that the way to fitness goes through the ladder of exercise. Many people fail to take workout in the correct way and take it as an essential regular exercise of two long hours in any gym or health club. If your goal is to remain fit and maintain good health then there is no need to devote long hours in gym to exercise on heavy equipments. Mostly just a walk of 20 to 30 minutes would let you attain fitness.

Remember that there is no need to exert your body as exertion can have harmful effects in long run. Including small exercises like breathing exercise, or skiing or using stepper for a few minutes regularly would let you improve you health both mentally and physically. Swimming, cycling, jogging, skiing, aerobic dancing, walking or any of dozens of other activities can help your heart. Whether it's included in a structured exercise program or just part of your daily routine, all physical activity adds up to a healthier heart.

As you undertake your fitness program, it's important to remember that fitness is an individual quality that varies from person to person. It is influenced by age, sex, heredity, personal habits, exercise and eating practices. You can't do anything about the first three factors. If you have not exercised in a long time, start with shorter sessions of 5 to 10 minutes and build gradually from there. To help you get started with a physical activity program. One thing to be kept in mind is to start exercising with a small warm up session. This warming up before exercising is very important as it helps in preventing injuries.

In normal routine, adopting steps or small activities like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking vehicle further away from your destination, getting up from your desk during the day to stretch and walk around proves to be highly beneficial. Use fitness to your advantage, the key is to eat less but more often, get a little more exercise, and make better lifestyle choices. In fitness, the results give us the main motivation and sound mental health.
