TOSHIBA Satellite Pro 4200 fit PA3107U-1BRS replacement battery
This performance comes at a price and that is TOSHIBA PA3107U-1BRS battery

life. The fast dual core processor and big screen overwhelm the Satellite Pro 4200 little

4500mAh battery. DVD viewing time away from a power plug was only 1 hour and fifteen

minutes, consistent with the Battery Eater Pro benchmark I ran. As a point of reference, an

average single core 15"  Pentium-M notebook would see about 3 hours of battery life from a

charge. To be honest, this notebook was never intended to be a travel companion -- it is

more suited to home use. Keeping this in mind I would not hold the battery performance

against the PA3107U-

1BRS.
After days of research using the web and shopping outlets all over USA, my decision was

narrowed down. It was either the Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 . The

Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200  was available immediately, plus I would be getting better bang for

my buck, so Toshiba it was. I bought it in person from Abatteryweb dealer here in USA for around $80.29 . I

could have gotten it for less online but would have waited for another month or so.
I tested the battery

with the screen at full brightness and the wireless turned on and I got about 3 and a

half hours, which is respectable considering the quality of the processor and video card.

To increase battery life further, you can decrease the brightness and turn off the

wireless. Keep in mind that they do offer a nine cell battery, but that will increase the

weight of the computer. The AC adapter is of average size, but it's very light, so it won't

be a huge issue to carry it around, if you're worried about battery life.
