Once again Nadal bitted World Number One Roger Federer extending his Open Era in Monte Carlo Masters Series. The double French Open champion who has not lost on the slow surface since 2005 became the second player to win three straight titles in the principality.

The Majorcan’s record setting run on clay began in Monte Carlo two years ago with a first round win over France's Gael Monfils, last year Nadal had to defeat the title against Roger Federer, and this year history repeats itself in a impressive final where Rafa Nadal only needed 63 matches to emerge as the hot favorite to retain his French Open Crown.

Federer on his side has four Wimbledon titles, and three at both the U.S. and Australian Opens, but still needs the French Open to complete the sweep, even when he assures to be in a great shape, it seems like the Spaniard is not leaving any chances for him to make it.

The Swiss is amazed by Nadal; he recognized that “what he has achieved is fantastic”, and affirms that being defeated by the Spaniard in Monte Carlo is an honor, especially when this is Nadal’s third victory. However, he is already focusing on winning in Hamburg.

Rafael Nadal is only 20 years and already achieve 14 clay crowns to his name and has never lost a final on this type of surface, the professional player is looking stronger than ever and this is his 67th victory in a row. With the win at Monte Carlo the French Open title looks closer to his hands than anyone else.
