Description
The Eten X500 is a slim and cool-looking pocket pc phone. At 15.5mm (0.61 inches), the Eten X500 seems to be the thinnest Windows Mobile Pocket PC edition phone around. The device runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, and weighs 146-gms with the battery. The phone is powered by a Samsung S3C2440 400-MHz processor, is a quad-band GSM phone with support for EDGE, and supports 802.11b/g WLAN connectivity.

The E-TEN glofish X500 is a quad-band GSM phone with EDGE, including a Samsung S3C2440 400MHz processor, 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM, a 2.8" QVGA touch screen, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi (both 802.11b and g), a 2MP camera with flash, integrated SiRFStar III GPS chipset, a microSD slot, and even an FM radio tuner. The glofish X500 features 2 quick application buttons that offer one-thumb navigation of Pocket PC applications, 2 dedicated phone function buttons, and several user-configurable soft-keys that will allow each individual the ability to customize and configure their device to best suit their needs. The X500 Glofish also comes integrated with a SiRFStar III GPS chip and a GPS Viewer application, though no mapping software provided. Other add-ons on this quad-band include a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The built-in camera though takes good quality images at high resolutions of 1600-by-1200-dpi.While 64MB of RAM is packed into the Glofish, additional storage space can be created by inserting external storage into its microSD slot. The Glofish also features an FM Radio Tuner, and connects to your computer system through the USB 2.0 port, which is also used to charge its battery. What's more – a full set of IMAGiNET software comes pre-installed on the X500. The reception and sound quality of the Glofish is quite good. The quality of audio files played through the device is also good, the image quality of pictures taken using the built-in camera were good, too. The company claims a talk time of 5-7 hours, and a standby time of 150-200 hours.
