It’s taken me a few years of trial and error, but I’ve tried out all of the car parking services available at Gatwick International Airport and I think I’ve become somewhat of an expert on the subject.

Whatever they might say, the truth is that most of the car parking services offer the same perks. Except for their location, the frequency of their shuttle services and which terminal they serve, all of the car parking companies offer excellent security, professional service and easy check-in procedures.

If you really want to park in style, or just save yourself a lot of time and effort, then it’s worth paying the extra for a valet parking service like PAS or Chauffeured Parking Service (CPS). All you have to do is make a call and they’ll meet you at the airport and park your car for you. When you return from your trip, they’ll be waiting for you with your car outside the terminal. If only going through security could be that easy!

The closest place to park for all flights is Courtlands. Unfortunately, their shuttles to the North Terminal don’t run year round, but when they do run, they take 4 or 7 minutes to arrive at the South and North terminals respectively. Their shuttles only run at 20-minute intervals though, so you may spend some time waiting to get on board.

APH, BCP and Cophall Farm Parking are all only 10 or 15 minutes drive from both terminals and the total check-in and transfer time for all three companies is about 30 minutes. If you are in a hurry or arriving at an odd time, Cophall Farm can sometimes arrange immediate transfers. You never know when that could mean the difference of missing you flight or not.

Holiday Parking and NCP Flightpath North are about ten minutes away. NCP has twice as many shuttles than Holiday, which can speed things up considerably.

Two parking companies that exclusively service the South Terminal, however, you can always use these lots and then take the monorail from the South Terminal to the North Terminal. Summer Special and Parking Express are only 6 or 7 minutes away. In this case, Parking Express has the more frequent shuttle service, running every 10 minutes.

Most of the parking companies offer the same level of good service. I’ve gone back to BCP a few times though. The staff there seem to make an extra effort and that goes a long way for me.

The sites I usually use to arrange my parking for Gatwick Airport are easy to use and it shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes.
