Do you have time to kill in the city of Columbus Ohio? There are many ways in which you can spend this time. Columbus is home to some of the country's best attractions and entertainment venues. One such place is the Center of Science and Industry or COSI for short. It is a great place where you can learn and have fun at the same time. Keep reading this article to see if the Center of Science and Industry is for you. I am sure you will see that it is.

The Center of Science and Industry was the idea of a man by the name of Sanford Hallock. He visited a similar museum in Chicago and decided that Columbus needed to have its own science museum. It took six years to come to fruition but the Center of Science and Industry opened its doors in 1964 and since that time it has welcomed millions of visitors. So what have these visitors been treated to? The museum has a number of different exhibits and displays, many of which are hands on. You can, for example, visit the space exhibit and learn about gravity, black holes, or learn about the international space station. In this exhibit you can even pilot a Mars rover or take a trip in a space capsule. Another exhibit is the Ocean exhibit. There you can explore the world under the sea using submersibles, remote control vehicles and sonar. This just scratches the surface of the exhibits available. You will find many more permanent exhibits and temporary or special exhibits on display. It is a remarkable Columbus attraction where anyone can find something of interest. I am sure you will love it and you will come back again and again.

If you would like to find the museum you can find it at 333 W. Broad Street in Columbus. Before you visit you should call the COSI's information line at 614-228-2674 and get current hours and ticket prices. Have fun.
