Google launched it's advertising system in March 2002 to provide a cutting edge advertising system to generate quality and targeted traffic to all sorts of online businesses. The best part is you don't have to be a huge multimillion dollar corporation in order to use Google AdWords.
If you can write English, you can use AdWords. Everyday average people use the Google AdWords system to generate massive amount of traffic to their website and generate thousands of dollars in revenue. Many folks are now making a full time living just by writing tiny 95 character long text ads from the comfort of their home and an internet connection. Even you can do this. But first it would be nice to analyze that whether Google AdWords is right for your business or not.
If you are serious about using AdWords as an advertising medium, then you must understand that it is basically only a traffic generation tool. Since it comes under the Pay Per Click Only type of system, you pay only for the clicks on your ads. These clicks finally end up on your website. When the visitor arrives on your website the role of Google as a advertising medium ends immediately. From here onwards what the visitors takes action on your website entirely depends upon the website design. An action (by the visitor) in most cases comes under 4 categories.
1)Making a purchase
2)Signing up your newsletter
3)Clicking on another banner or ad on the web page
4)Writing a comment such as in a guest book. etc...
In order to start using the AdWords system, first evaluate what you are trying to accomplish from the arriving traffic. If you want to build a list of subscribers, which might buy from you after a month or so, then keep in mind the amount of money you will spend initially for paying AdWords fees.
It's really about how much you invest in generating traffic and how much you will retrieve from your subscriber in a particular time span.
This sort of planning for your business will finally decide whether you LOVE AdWords Or not. Only testing and tracking can tell you how you can benefit from the AdWords system.
So to LOVE or not to LOVE Google AdWords is all about knowing about your visitor's wants and needs. What are their habits, age groups, and gender? Finding this information will help to convert just visitors into paying customers. When your visitors become customers it can be said that you have truly benefited from the Google AdWords advertising system.
