The International Spy Museum is dedicated to all-but-invisible profession of espionage, and is the only one of its kind. This fascinating museum is a must-see for espionage and history enthusiasts. It is home to the largest collection of international spy-related artifacts ever placed on public display. It tells stories of individual spies through film and state-of-the-art exhibits. The International Spy Museum is located in Washington, DC's historic Pennsylvania Quarter neighborhood at 800 F Street, NW, within 4 blocks of the National Mall, and directly across the street from the National Portrait Gallery.

The International Spy Museum's permanent exhibitions represent the tradecraft of espionage through the accounts of individuals. These exhibits feature spies, their missions, their tools and techniques. The exhibits reveal the strategies and techniques of the men and women behind some of the most important and most secret espionage missions in the history of the world.

The stated mission of the International Spy Museum is to educate the public about espionage in an engaging manner and to provide a dynamic context that fosters understanding of its important role in and impact on current and historic events. The International Spy Museum examines the role of human intelligence in world events throughout history.

The International Spy Museum is the creation of The Malrite Company, which is based in Cleveland, Ohio. The International Spy Museum is a private and independent, and has no affiliation with any government agency, foreign or domestic. The focus of the International Spy Museum is human espionage, not political ideology, and as such the Museum presents the facts within a context that let visitors to draw their own judgments and conclusions. The Museum has contacted intelligence communities across the globe to get an international perspective for the exhibits, as well as to brief all relevant organizations about the Museum's goals.

The historic buildings that comprise the International Spy Museum were constructed between 1875 and 1892. For more than a hundred years they housed thousands of tenants, including the American Communist Party offices during World War II. A successful restoration effort has made these storied structures better than ever.

In addition to the Museum the Complex includes a Museum Store, private dining and event facilities and 2 restaurants, namely Zola and Spy City Café.
