All iPod is basically a portable media player, which is most popularly used to store songs and videos. It can however store other information as well. Since it is a portable device, it is very common for one to carry it when going to a friends house or anywhere out of town etc. People often like exchanging music, videos etc. However, one of the main drawbacks of an iPod is that you can not transfer music from one iPod to another. Many people connect their iPods to another computer simply because they think it is easier to add the songs present on that computer directly to their iPod. This however causes data loss and thus users often get confused about what happened and how they can recover their own songs etc back. Such situations call for the use of good quality, genuine iPod Recovery Softwares.

A simple instance of this is when one goes over to a friends place, likes the songs he or she has and decides to load those songs on his own iPod. He connects his iPod into his friends computer and then suddenly realises that all of his songs are gone and instead all the songs from his friends iPod get loaded onto his iPod.

Cause:

The most common cause of this is iTunes Auto Sync. This function enables users to update their iPods faster. When a computer has an Auto Sync option on all your files get replaced with the ones in iTunes. People often think that Auto Sync also copies songs from your iPod onto iTunes. This is not true. An iPod can only receive files from iTunes.

Solution:

If your iTunes in your computer still have your songs saved then you can simply connect your iPod to iTunes and again sync the two. All your original songs will get copied back. This option of course will not work if you don't have the songs saved on iTunes. In case that happens you can use an iPod data recovery to restore data to your iPod. These software simply help in recovering iPod data.

Stellar Phoenix iPod Recovery has been developed by Stellar Information Systems Ltd. to help restore your iPod data without damaging the music, videos etc. It is compatible with iPod Nano, iPod Mini, iPod Classic, and iPod Shuffle and iPod Touch. The software also supports various file formats like MPEG, MP4, GIF, WMA, etc. It is thus highly capable of recovering deleted iPod data.
