Made-to-measure shirts, which are popularly known as bespoke shirts, were once confined to the rich and royals. Ordinary people weren’t able to pay for the expensive services of the custom shirts. But things are different now. There are many companies which manufacture tailor made shirts today within affordable price range. You might say, these companies fake the look of original custom shirt brands, but what difference does it make as long as you get the look and feel of branded shirts!

Many times we end up buying the shirts which are not perfect fit. There is nothing to be worried; it can easily be customized to make a perfect fit. However, if you choose a shirt which is extra large even in the neck region, then it’s tough to make the adjustment. Hence, there are certain aspects which you must take care of while buying the shirt. While choosing a shirt, neck and shoulders areas are the most important thing to look at. Make sure that the collar of the shirt snug around the neck at a comfortable length and the seam of the sleeve should come close to the shoulder end. Seams should never crease on a good branded shirt. The sleeves shouldn’t be too short, if they are extra long, it can be easily shortened.

Here is a trick to know if a shirt is a prefect fit or not. If a shirt rides back over the shoulders again and again and you have to pull it down to the front, then it’s not a fit. So don’t go in for this type of shirts. After you purchase the selected brand of shirts, it’s time to make them tailor-made. Many mens wear stores offer tailoring services. So check out incase its available from the place you purchased your shirt. Otherwise you can get it done even at the local tailor. As you have bought the shirt with perfect fit in the neck and shoulder region, you don’t have to make too many adjustments. To give a made-to-measure fitting look, you can try to pull in the sides of the shirt and darts should also be added in the back. If the sleeves are too long, it can be shortened easily.
