There are various MP3 players available in the market, so one is definitely bound to get confused when it comes to choosing the best player to suit one’s needs. Here is something which shall help you in choosing the right kind of MP3 players as it would cover almost all MP3 players available in the market.
Types of MP3 players:

Basically there are four kinds of MP3 players available in the market namely; flash based players, hard drive based players, micro hard drive based MP3 players and mp3 CD players.
Flash-based MP3 players:

These players have a flash memory chip built-in. They are usually very tiny, ultra portable and have no movement whatsoever. As a rough user, you may do any sports activities without any risk to your music playback. The disadvantage that these players have is that they have a cost per megabyte. These players usually range from 256 MB to 8GB. The most popular models are the ones from CREATIVE or APPLE.
Hard drive based MP3 players
Hard disk drive based MP3 players generally use a 1.8 inch hard disk drive for music storage. These hard dive based music players can store large amount of music files ranging from12 GB to 350 GB. This is what you need if you want to store tons of music albums or tracks. These are not too expensive also. But these are not suitable for rough usage because they have moving parts inside the disk which can be easily damaged.
Micro hard drive based MP3 players
only recently manufacturers have launched MP3 players with micro hard disk drives like the Apple iPod Mini. These players come with smaller hard disks which can store up to 8 GB of music and also come in attractive designs too. These models are selling in the market like wildfire.
CD MP3 players
Last but not least CD players with MP3 playback still continue to exist in the market. These are another type of MP3 players. Any CD player which can decode the MP3 format can play MP3 music. One can burn up to 150 MP3 format sound tracks on a writable or re-writable compact disc. The only disadvantage that these players have is their relatively large size and also the inability to shuffle between tracks so easily.
So you may now have cleared your thoughts about which player would serve the best purpose for your requirements. Have a great listening experience!
