Cars these days are now referred to as superb machines and every owner wants his or her car to look great, perform great and last but not least sound great. The era of playing cassettes and tapes in a car has gone by. In fact most manufacturers have also stopped production and sale of cassette or tape players. New audio devices are now available for cars to provide a better listening experience to the owner. These new players produce appealing and clearer sound. Yes we are talking about the new car MP3 players.

These players usually come with car music players which play music on compact discs. Renowned manufacturers like SONY, PANASONIC, PIONEER, JBL and JVC have great control in the market regarding the sale of these players. Earlier music files on compact discs were played on WMA or audio CD format which used a lot of space and only a few songs could be on the disc. But the same compact disc can store up to 150 tracks if comprising of MP3 format, MP3 being the most compressed form of music. Therefore, one gets more and more music in the same compact disc comprising of his or her favourite tracks in MP3 format.

Now along with CD players comes the technology and easy of playing music through pen drives or other portable data storage devices that could be connected to the car’s music system using a USB port. Moreover there is also the easy of playing music using an auxiliary cable which can be connected to an iPod, mobile phone or any other portable media player. Now along with such great music playback features a car’s music system must have good quality speakers which can produce great sound. Brands are available in the markets which are tried, tested and trusted all over the world.

These players are priced according to their brand value. Usually all models are different but contain the same features if they are similarly priced. The user interface and looks also play a major role in determining the price of the player. These players usually come with additional features like FM and AM playback, some even support videos, a good quality display screen which may or may not have visual effects. Other features like clock and scrolling functions are standard. But then again if one is willing to spend more he is sure to get a great master piece of music technology.
