When it comes to the practice of medicine, there are two major schools of thought. The policy makers believe the best approach is prophylaxis. That means you set up a healthcare service designed to prevent illness or, if it cannot be prevented, then to diagnose it early and treat it before it gets any worse. A classic example of this is vaccination, which improves the body’s immune system and protects the groups of people must likely to die if they catch the diseases. The second school of thought is promoted by the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals and doctors. This focusses on the treatment of patients once they are diagnosed with a disorder or disease. Since the profits of manufacturers, hospitals and doctors depend on selling their products and services, the idea of prophylaxis is resisted. The high status of doctors must be sold. Only they can act as gatekeeper to health care. They control what treatments are made available and the prices to be paid. Even more importantly, they have a profit motive in making everyone think of problems as medical — that way, doctors can claim the right to give the cure.
So how does this relate to erectile dysfunction (ED)? In many cases, ED is preventable. Let’s start with the schools. Most people do not receive comprehensive sex education. They do not know how their bodies work. More importantly, they do not understand how the mind and the body interact to produce the sexual experience. The embarrassment and prudishness of adults is transmitted to the young. So the young guess and fantasize about sex and sexuality and, for the most part, get it wrong. If schools would get rid of all the myths and teach people about sex, many people would be saved the embarrassment of ED later in life. Now, let’s get to the real issue. Obesity! The food industry sells mountains of unhealthy processed food. People eat too much of the wrong food. The results are the additional risks of diabetes and heart disease. ED is one of the first symptoms of both. And let’s not forget drinking too much alcohol, abusing drugs and smoking tobacco. These activities have a direct effect on sexual performance. Here’s a blunt message for you. Thin people who only drink modestly and do not smoke have better sex lives!
But you cannot change people and their culture overnight. So this brings us to cialis as the best of the drugs used to treat ED. There are still myths. For example, you will not get an erection the moment you swallow the pill. The only effect of cialis is to dilate your arteries. You still need sexual stimulation before the erection will form. With proper education about the causes of ED and the drugs used to treat the problem, people would be able to lead better lives. Unfortunately, it’s not in the interests of the food industry, the drug companies, the hospitals or the doctors to allow this to happen. So learn a simple truth. You can rely on cialis to treat ED.
