“It’s not the minutes you spend at the table that make you fat, it’s the seconds!” This was quipped by a late night TV host on the topic of being overweight. Indeed, the not-so-secret tip to stave off overeating is to savor the food and, thus, chew it very slowly. The benefit of this simple technique is to settle down the hunger pangs before a person decides to pile up the servings and commits overindulgence in the process. Nutritionist experts always dispense this advice: have a sufficient, varied, and nutritionally balanced diet. Eating healthy is the key to maintaining a consistent metabolism, heart rate, and general body functions. This, in turn, translates to dodging so many illnesses and diseases that plague persons with unbalanced diets. Instead of paying for medical bills, payday advances could be put to good use, that is, purchase organic, fresh food or even grow a vegetable garden in the backyard for personal healthy consumption.

One of the primary organs that is affected by good or bad eating is the heart. Healthy eating is beneficial by keeping the heart going at its best. According to professional nutritionists, staple to healthy eating are foods that are low in blood and serum cholesterol. Meat is not the poison that vegetarians sometimes say these are, as long as these are eaten the right way. Aside from iron, red meat is rich in zinc, protein, and selenium. The best kind to eat is lean meats, from flank and braising steak portions.

Another important thing to remember in eating healthy is to moderate salt and sugar intake. Ideally, ordinary table salt consumption should only be pegged at 1.5 to six grams per day. However, this usually exceeds because there are certain foods that are naturally salty, containing an amount of sodium and chloride. So, nutritional experts advise chefs and even mums who prepare food to use other spices and minerals to enhance the taste of food and not just rely on salt or other artificial flavors. Sugar, on the other hand, is a good source of energy boosters, but too much of it can lead to debilitating diseases such as diabetes. When looking for a healthy dessert, the best and healthiest ones to pick are fruit-based ones, those that are sweet from fruit sugars, or fructose, and natural honey. So, when planning a great night out with friends for instance, aside from getting an instant payday loan, pick a good restaurant with a healthy set of menu—from appetizers to desserts—to ensure balanced eating even when having fun.
