This makes it important that you choose a digitizing program that you like and is comfortable for you to use. This should be the foremost thing to do when starting the digitizing process.

Once we have selected the digitizing program, we can start on our embroidery projects. The design and editing the design is part of the process, of course. This is why there is also an emphasis placed on how to make your own designs using the digitizing program.

We start by picking out the artwork or design to digitize. Make sure the design is outlined by clean lines. It is also helpful if the design has as few colors as possible. We can then digitize this design as a vector file. We can use any graphics program that we are comfortable using in making our own design and converting it into out preferred image file format.

In the beginning, this will take us some time to get used to. Patience is needed in order to get the process right. In time, though, you will be able to create your own embroidery designs without any difficulty.

Let us reiterate again that it is important that the design file and the digitizing program should be compatible with each other. Otherwise, the results would not be what we want. Embroidery is a craft that involves a lot of stitches and patterns that the design and the digitizing program should operate smoothly together.

Take care to learn everything there is about your digitizing program and the different image files that are compatible with it. If there are training courses available that can teach you all about the program and how to make designs, then take advantage of them.
