Information Technology is increasing becoming one of the more popular sought after college degree and major choices. And there is a very good reason for that too. As a Network Manager you will be able to direct a team of engineers and designers to handle the whole networking system for an organization, company, or firm.
You will also be able to work with the Internet. You could be a Web Developer, a Web programmer, or a Webmaster. This may be a valuable route to choose as the Internet is increasingly becoming a big part of businesses and every-day life. It may become a highly needed job and you will already have the expertise to handle it. These jobs will require that you be able to design and make web scripts and applications while at the same time coordinating a company's products with those applications and scripts.
Other jobs opportunities include being different types of programmers and technicians. You can make computer programs or engineer computer systems. If you are a Multimedia Developer, you can develop programs like Macromedia Flash or Dreamweaver. As a Hardware engineer you can handle computer designs and communication links. Other jobs include Information Systems Manager, Software Developer, Application Developer, Application Architect, Messaging Administrator, Business Intelligence Analyst, Staff Consultant, Technical Writer, System Administrator, PC Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician and many more. With a degree in Information Technology will be able to explore jobs in everything from computers and the Internet to many other different types of technology. And you will be secure knowing you did not waste your college education on a degree that will not find you a job.
