Most if not all marketers and business owners commit the same mistakes again and again. That’s why many marketing campaigns such as postcard printing and print postcards miss their mark when they were sent to their target clients. Still, many miss golden opportunities to connect with their target clients, so much so that they often waste the marketer’s time and money.
Here then are the most common errors made with marketing collaterals, be it postcard printing, print flyers and brochures. You would do well to pay heed so next time you start your marketing campaign with your print postcards for example, you can very well have collaterals that work hard to achieve your goals.
Do NOT use a dull headline.
This means that you don’t use a blah headline; your company’s name as your headline, or even your own name to start your marketing collaterals. For one thing, nobody cares about your name. And the only things your target clients care about are the benefits they can get from your business.
Remember that your collaterals are made for one purpose – to sell your products and services. Although they would definitely need your name when they buy from you; it doesn’t mean that they would want to read it in your headline. Always grab their attention with the benefits and you’ll more than likely to convince them of your value.
Do NOT forget to provide a solution.
Always remember that what your target clients care about is what you can give them. What can they get from your products and services? How can they benefit from your offer? All in all, what solution can you provide them? Even if you put all the features of your products and services, it won’t mean a thing if they don’t equate to how they can solve the problems and issues of your target clients. So think about a particular problem that your target clients have for a very long time. And then provide a solution to that same problem. You not only give value to your products, but you also make your business sell like hotcakes.
Do NOT be an enemy.
Instead, be sure to represent yourself as a friend and someone your target clients can rely on. They would definitely want to buy from a business that they can entrust their hard earned money to. Especially during these trying times, you would do better if you can make your target clients comfortable – enough to make them part with their hard earned cash.
Do NOT stop at the first campaign.
You need to be seen not just once, twice or even three times. You need at least to market your business with your postcard printing for example as much as 8 times. Bear in mind that your target clients need to see you regularly for them to remember you. A marketing strategy that is repeated is more likely to get a response than a one-time campaign.
