Nowadays, majority of people are shifting from normal cable TV to satellite TV as satellite TV is getting more and more famous among the common people by the day. These days, it has become very essential for the people to know about the main differences between cable TV and satellite TV before they actually switch from their cable TV to a satellite TV network. This would help them a lot while choosing the right satellite TV network for them. Satellite TV has brought about a revolution in the television industry and eventually cable TV networks will decline from their existence.

The main difference between a cable TV connection and a satellite TV connection is that one gets a lot more number of channels by paying the same amount of rental in case of a satellite TV network as one gets in a cable TV network by paying that amount of rental. For example, if a person would get 64 channels by paying a certain amount of rent for a cable TV connection, then for the same amount, the person would get over 110 channels if he chooses satellite TV connection instead of a cable TV connection.

Another major difference between the cable TV system and the satellite TV network system is that the reception of the channels in the case of cable TV is in the form of analog signals whereas the reception of the channels in the case of satellite TV is in the form of digital channels. Analog signals are more prone to disturbance and hence the quality of the channel is compromised. In case of satellite TV, where the reception is digital, there is minimum or no interference in the channel and hence the quality of the channel is very high as compared to cable TV.

It is very essential to compare satellite TV networks with cable TV to make people aware of the advantages of the satellite TV over cable TV network connections. According to surveys all over the world, it has been noticed that the customers that have chosen satellite TV as their connection are more satisfied as compared to those who have selected the traditional cable TV connection as their default network. This also adds to the advantages that are provided by the satellite TV connection to their customers all over the world. Satellite TV networks have taken over the cable TV networks and slowly will wipe them off the market.
