People spend a lot of time just to figure out which satellite system is better out of direct TV and dish network. Dish network VS direct TV has always been a curios fight among the users. Actually to reach a favorable conclusion for one of them is hard. Both are equally good and it just depends on the customer that which service he would prefer. However, it would be wise to look at certain things to keep in mind while choosing a satellite TV provider.

Packages Available

There are now more than 250 channels available to users of satellite TV. This is fascinating but at the same time it is complex because you need to find out what you are looking for. A good programming comes with a good package only. The basic packages of both the services provide local and national channels but some premium packages may include international and rare channels too. Channels for children’s education, fashion channels and other channels like those can be viewed. Actually it would not be good to call the basic package as bad. Different people need different channels and different scope of them. So you need to weigh your programming options wisely so that the needs of your family members can be fulfilled.

Prices

The prices of different providers are also different. It also depends on which package you choose. Also because the name sells, bigger brands are often more costly. The basic packages start at approximately $20 per month but better packages are more expensive. Also if you add movies, sports and stuff like that, it costs extra.

Availability of Service

Both the services are usually present everywhere, however the signals of both of them are caught from opposite direction. Direct TV has its signals from the south and Dish from the north. So if you position is not in any of these directions, you signal may be weak or interfere with other signals.

Installation, Equipment and Services

Normally every company charges for installing a new package but with the infinite schemes always on for these two; there are very bright chances that you may be able to skip them. Even the equipment can be free of cost under special offers. However, you definitely have to pay for your packages and upgrade would cost extra. The services of both of them are good and they seldom receive interruptions. Troubleshooting is also very easy in these systems.
