Quartz worktops have a better heat resistance ability than solid surfaces but protection boards should be used on all these surfaces and hot items should never be placed directly on these surface. If a salesperson is giving you that information about its heat resistant surface, he is actually doing a fraud. /Further, solid surfaces offer seamless joints whereas joints in Quartz are quite visible.
