Quartz worktops have a better heat resistance ability than solid surfaces but protection boards should be used on all these surfaces and hot items should never be placed directly on these surface. If a salesperson is giving you that information about its heat resistant surface, he is actually doing a fraud. /Further, solid surfaces offer seamless joints whereas joints in Quartz are quite visible.

Quartz worktops have a decent scratch resistance power as compared to solid surface worktops. Quartz worktops also have a glossy finish unless honed whereas solid surface worktops have a matte finish. Quartz Worktops are the modern materials which are being used by many people mostly in renovating and redesigning their kitchen.
