If you’re just starting to design and print posters for your business, the task at hand may seem complex and overwhelming especially when all the tasks you need to do are before you.

If you do not do it right, you may make a lot of errors, which can result to a poster printing that is very far from what you expected. Surely, no one wants a botched up printing job especially if you’re so looking forward to having them sent out to impress your target clients.

Not only do you waste time, money and effort when you get results that are way out of your expectations; but your marketing campaign may cause your business to temporarily have a setback.

The key is to know more of the poster printing process so you will be able to track your project and ensure that you get not only the perfect outcome but according to the schedule, you want. Here are some of the experts’ tips on how you can have print posters that were produced smoothly without having to settle for less than what you require:

Check everything before you give your layout to the printers.
More than your design and graphic layout be sure that you have a copy that is free of grammatical errors, misspellings and punctuation slip-ups. If you have checked it once before you send it out to your printer, check it again.

There is nothing wrong with being meticulous and precise. The less errors you have before your print posters are finally printed out, the less negative impact you will have with the way your target audience see your message in your poster printing.

Make sure that you have the right resolution with your images.
The right dpi resolution can do wonders to your graphic images and pictures. You must know that the colors and resolution you have from your desktop may be different from that of your printer’s. In fact, your colors may look totally different from that of your expectations.

So before you bring your final design to your printer, be sure to adjust your resolution to check with that of your printing company. If they require a particular dpi for their equipment, it would be to your best interest to comply.

Look out for the bleed.
Moreover, be sure to have enough around the edge of your posters. Your bleed would make sure that you avoid those white edges showing. Your printing company will surely advice you to design your collateral in such a way that the crop area is larger, as well as tells you how much bleed they need for your particular print job.

Finally, double-check everything before you send it out to your printer. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of errors…or something to that effect. If you are unsure of your printer’s rules, be sure to ask them about it. They will be more than happy to help you with your print job.
