How does a Swim Spa compare with say a Swimming Pool and a Jacuzzi Style Hot Tub.

A Swim Spa is a clever combination of a Jacuzzi Hot Tub and a swimming pool.

A swim spa allows one to swim against a counter-current just as if one was actually in a swimming pool but then you do not actually move. So it requires much less space.

At the same time it also has the same benefits of a Hydro Massage Spa and Hot Tub.

A Swim Spa forms a great base for regular water exercise, swimming and aqua-jogging.

At the same time one also has the enjoyment and relaxation that is offered by the hydro massage effect of pleasant soothing warm water that comes from the Massage Jets of the Jacuzzi part of the Swim Spa.

In a Swim Spa the operating equipment such as water pumps and heaters are compact so a Swim Spa is reasonably portable

It can for example be placed on a terrace in a garden or even in the interior of a house. Some times they can be put into a basement area and combined with a Gym.

Fitness

It is a very good idea to have LED lights in a Swim Spa or a Hot Tub, so as to be able to create oustanding lighting conditions and of course enable it to be in use at night.

Water treatment

As opposed to conventional swimming pools a Hot Tub or a Swim Spa will need relatively much less maintenance in order to keep the water clear and in good condition.

A properly made Hot Tub or Swim Spa will have an efficient filter system, with say three cartridge filters and an efficient circulation pump.

A Swim Spa as with modern Hot Tubs should be equipped with an ozone generator (O3) to help purify the water.

Efficiency

With proper built in thermal insulation and an isothermal cover a Swim Spa is in fact very energy efficient, maintaining the required water temperature for approximately 1 € per day.

Portability

A Swim Spa can be equipped with panels and a stainless steel frame (or galvanized steel) but will have all of its operating equipment contained with in it. So if desired, it can be moved from site to site and used as a portable swimming pool.

As always my firm advice remains that one should, always, only buy a product that comes from an American or Western, internationally recognized, manufacturer of Swim Spas or Hot Tubs.

Then there is every chance that the product will last and last and provide very many years of faultless service..
