When you’re in business, you need to consider everything that would help you maximize what you have. This means looking for ways to make the most of your resources and stretching it to accommodate the processes and systems that will help you to accomplish a lot of things with your business. And with the current economic crunch, the more you can save your dollars and stretch your finances, the better it will be for you to stay liquid. To help you grow your business, here are the top three strategies you can do:

1-Market, market, market!

We can’t emphasize this enough – even with tough times (especially during hard times!) you need to continue to market yourself and your business. Not only that; but at every opportunity you have. Other than producing collaterals such as magazine printing, or putting an ad in newspapers and print magazines, there are ways and means for you to advertise for free. This is true! Advertising can be done at no cost to you. You just have to realize that what you’re regularly doing can be a way for you to market. Going to the grocery, visiting your dentist, and even when you bring your children to the park, these instances are opportunities for you to market. All you need is to spend your time and energy reaching out to people so they can get to know your business.

This is free advertising. All you need to do is to introduce yourself, tell them of your offering, and don’t forget to ask them how you can be of help. When somebody smiles at you across the seat in the train, make an effort to chat with that person. And always, bring extra business cards so these people can get in touch with you after you leave them. You’ll be surprised at how many deals have been made with this initial step.

2-FREE Marketing

We’re talking about using the word ‘free’ in your marketing copy. The word ‘free’ is very powerful when it comes to attracting people to your offer. In fact, whenever people read the word ‘free’ they can’t help but be curious about it. And guaranteed that they would be lining up in your store just so they can get the free item.

Providing your target market with something free also doesn’t mean that you have to have additional money to burn. It only takes your time and energy to offer free services for example, or free stationery printing, magazine printing services, and sometimes even free samples of your products. If you’re good, then you don’t even have to say anything to your target market. Your product or service will speak for itself.

3-Word-of-mouth marketing

Finally, remember to utilize your satisfied and happy clients to be your walking and talking advertisements. Word-of-mouth is the best marketing strategy ever. If real people are actually talking about how great your services are, then you have the most effective marketing campaign – more than anything you could say about your business.
