It is estimated that about 95% of all women have cellulite. That is a staggering number, and seems almost impossible to beat! We are lucky enough to live in an age where cosmetic and "nutraceutical" technology is becoming so advanced, getting rid of cellulite is becoming easier, more affordable, and faster.
Or they spend hundreds of dollars on high end department store cellulite products only to find extremely temporary results oriented products which tighten and tone cellulite prone areas only for as long as they stay on the skin, or for as long as their active ingredients remain potent and effective, which many times can fade within hours.
There are basically two types of cellulite. Hard cellulite often occurs in the bodies of dancers, runners, or athletes, and this is harder to get rid of as it attaches directly to the muscle tissue. However, this cellulite is often not as visible as soft cellulite. Soft cellulite occurs in larger areas of the body and often "sags" from the body as it's not as readily attached to the muscle.
Another recommended method of getting rid of cellulite, in conjunction with an anti cellulite cream, is an herbal or all natural cellulite reducing supplement designed to target the internal causes of cellulite formation.
Unortunately, diuretic herbs really only make you lose a little water weight, they don't actually break down cellulite or anything like that (I wish I could report better findings here, but I can't).
Cellasene - Cellulite Pill
This herbal product is being promoted as a cellulite remedy. The ingredients are evening primrose oil, dried fucus vesiculosis extract, gelatine, fish oil, glycerol, soya oil, grape seed, bioflavonoids, soya lecithin, fatty acids, dried sweet clover extract, dried ginkgo biloba extract, and iron oxide. To be taken twice daily (or three times per day for an "intensive" program) for two months and then once daily for maintenance!
Topical Creams
As you know, there is a number of creams available claiming to reduce and eliminate the appearance of cellulite. Generally, if a cream is to be effective the results are modest and usually not permanent, but some experts suggest if you’re determined to give the creams a try, it’s a good idea to look for those products that contain caffeine or theophylline. While some studies suggest that these ingredients may have an effect on cellulite and cause fat cells to dissolve, other studies disagree.
Diet and Exercise
Eating fatty and sugary foods can cause you to have cellulite. If you want to get rid of cellulite, you must cut out these unhealthy foods. A balanced diet is a surefire home cellulite treatment. Your diet not only determines how much cellulite you have, it also determines your body's ability to fight and breakdown cellulite.
Liposuction is a surgical option that removes fat from the body. Although it doesn’t target cellulite, rather the deeper layers of fat, losing the fat can improve the appearance of cellulite. However, be aware that there is no guarantee and it may in fact make cellulite worse.
