Gurbaksh Chahal, more commonly known as "G", at the age of 26, is one of the youngest and most successful entrepreneurs of our times. In 1985, his parents received a visa for America through a lottery-based system in India. At the age of 4, he immigrated to the United States with his family and settled in San Jose, California. Gurbaksh is the youngest of four siblings.
Gurbaksh came from strict and disciplined background where education was compulsory, so he went to public schools all throughout his early life in San Jose, attending high school for two years, however soon enrolling in Accel Middle College, which allowed him to enter college while finishing his high school degree.
Gurbaksh Chahal believed that life is all about risks and the definition of failure is only when you let fear take over your instincts. Even as a teenager, Chahal was an avid risk taker. Therefore, he chose a different route as his career path.
When Gurbaksh Chahal was 15, he used to spend most of his time while surfing on the Internet. One day he noticed that a company called DoubleClick was providing Internet Ad services. He didn’t know how to program, but realized that advertisers would need a way to track visits online. He thought he could buy software to help him, and found a guy in London who had technology that he offered him for $30,000. He didn’t have the money, but made arrangements to pay him 90 days after Gurbaksh tested the software. He went online and incorporated the company for $99 with the help of his elder brother. When three months were up, he had made $100,000 in revenue. He realized that he had a business. He named it “ClickAgents”. Within a year, he had $1 million a month in revenue.
Just two years later, in November 2000, ValueClick agreed to buy ClickAgents for $40 million in stock, making him a multi-millionaire by the age of 18. Chahal stayed with ValueClick for 18 months becoming the youngest executive of the multi-billion dollar NASDAQ-listed company.
Chahal is a prodigy, a successful entrepreneur, and a writer. Read more about “GURBAKSH CHAHAL’s” past, present and future plans at http://www.chahal.com
