Designing print stickers is very easy. You only need a very imaginative approach to the design process and you are on your way to creating a great advertising tool. But before starting any sticker printing, understand first why stickers are great advertising medium.
Print stickers are good advertising medium because they increase your company's visibility and profile. They help build brand identity because stickers have the tendency to create a band wagon effect. If people feel that your brand or identity is hip and cool, they would want to be associated with it. Being associated means displaying your stickers in conspicuous places like front doors, car bumpers, lockers, books, etc. There is just no business which has not taken advantage of this powerful medium.
The effectiveness of stickers however, lies on how they were designed. They must be able to capture the imagination and sentiments of your target sector. To achieve this, your stickers must have a very strong design. The following tips give you an idea of how to design print stickers to achieve maximum effect:
Know your desired outcome. With any marketing tool, you must first establish what effect you want to create. Do you want brand recognition? Do you want to promote your sticker or logo? Do you want to promote a way of life? These questions are some basic questions that can guide you as you start conceptualizing.
Know the materials you can choose from. There are many ways to skin a cat and sticker printing is no different from this maxim. There is a wide array of materials to choose from. Be sure to mix and match the colors, sizes, paper type, etc. By doing so, you get an idea of how much you will need to print stickers.
Know your distribution scheme. Find out what works best. Do you want to hand them out at every opportunity like public gatherings such as parades? In public places like malls? Or do you want to send them as an inserts? You can also ask your employees to stick them on their bumper stickers and give them out to friends. The idea here is to give away as many of your sticker printing as you can.
