If you are a high school or college student, you might be considering studying in Europe for a school break, a semester or even for a full year. Before you pack your bags, you will want to learn as much as possible about what it is like to study abroad in Italy and Ireland, in order to be prepared for the educational opportunities to come as well as to feel comfortable with a new mode of study.

Quality Italy study abroad and Ireland study abroad programs will help you before you make your trip to get signed up for the appropriate classes in Europe that will most benefit your current academic degree requirements. They will also ensure that you have guaranteed housing once you reach your European school, and that a staff member is available for questions or to offer assistance round the clock while you are away from home.

Other features that a top-tier Ireland study abroad or Italy study abroad program will offer students is a thorough introductory orientation, as well as planned outings to see off-campus historic and cultural sites of interest. If you want to study abroad in Italy, you might choose to study at university in Milan. Here you could spend your off-hours visiting the Cimitero Monumentale or the Duomo in order to experience the cultural heritage prevalent in Milan. If an Ireland study abroad program is in your future, you might spend time at Trinity College in Dublin looking at the world-famous Book of Kells, an ancient illuminated manuscript.

Academics will feature prominently in both Italy study abroad and Ireland study abroad programs. In both locations, classes for Ireland and Italy study abroad students are taught in English. In a semester program, you might expect to earn three credits per class, with a minimum of four courses taken per semester. You can study a wide variety of course topics, depending on which particular university you choose. Courses in Italy, for example, include subjects like International Finance Markets, The Political Economy of the European Union in the Business and Economics fields, or you might choose a course on the History of the Italian Film Industry or Visual Arts and Communications: From the Renaissance to the 20th Century.

In Ireland, you might select coursework in Industrial Design or International Business, to name only a small sample of those offered. Language and culture study courses, although not required, are usually offered, giving students an excellent chance to work on language learning in both the classroom and then be immersed in the language when you travel off campus.

For a great boost to your academics, as well as a life-changing experience, Italy study abroad and Ireland study abroad programs are the way to go.
