It is everybody’s dream to be in shape and have the right body curves that reflect fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Young and old alike have become fitness freaks.
However, losing weight for the sake of it, without having any target, by hook or by crook can be very harmful for the health. One has to understand that weight loss is a well planned, systematic process that not only helps reduce body weight but also keeps one healthy, fit and free of diseases.
There is an increasing tendency among adolescents and youth to starve, in order to achieve Weight Loss. It is important to know the repercussions of depriving the body of essential nutrients. Going on a crash diet depletes the body of its required energy sources and thus has its adverse effects on the body. The skin loses luster and glow due to lack of essential oils, the hair on the scalp too, becomes fragile and dry. One may also lose immunity towards certain diseases like common cold, cough, viral fever etc. The body strength gradually weakens, setting in fatigue, lack of stamina, and in most cases, psychological implications like mood swings. Also, not having food on time can lead to acidity.
Thus, the best way to Weight Loss is to indulge in exercise with required diet control. Both physical activity and food intake must go hand in hand to achieve the right weight.
Physical activities like yoga, aerobics, walking, jogging, cycling or any other form are ideal for all age groups in order to stay fit and target weight loss. Also, of all these activities it is yoga that helps in a planned weight loss. Yoga not only helps lose body weight but also strengthens the organs and muscles and helps tone up the body. Yoga is ideal for achieving a desired body shape.
Diet, on the other hand must be such that it fulfills the body requirement and also helps maintain the right weight. One should not completely cut off oil as certain amount of oil is necessary for the body. It can be gradually reduced with a minimal amount being consumed. Diet should be nutritious and rich in proteins, salt and water for a right weight loss.
