Quite similar is Charmed, with its plot revolving around three women. Based on the supernatural/humor/horror theme, it had loads of action to keep the adrenaline flowing. The show became quite a cult and developed a very active fan base. Women loved watching people of their ilk kick some butts, and men took pleasure watching three really good-looking women. Charmed was the first of the supernatural kind to successfully run the longest time on television. It paved way for the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an Emmy Award winning show that ran from 1997-2003. People absolutely loved watching Buffy go after vampires, and also dug her romance with Angel, the good vampire.
