If you have already began looking at automatic pool cleaners, one thing that you may have already noticed is the incredible number of choices that you have to consider. However; having an inground pool does help to narrow your options down somewhat.

Narrowing Your Choices Down

The next thing that will further narrow your options down is whether or not your inground pool is a vinyl lined sunken pool or a cement built in inground pool. This is because if your inground pool is cement it does require a considerable larger amount of maintenance.

A Pressure Side Inground Pool Automatic Cleaner

A vinyl lined inground pool doesn't need to have the sides scrubbed in the same way that a cement lined inground pool does, so you can easily get by with a pressure side inground pool automatic cleaner if this is your case.

Powered By Your Pool Pump

These inground pool automatic cleaners are powered by the water from your pool pump and are connected to a long hose. They are relatively maintenance free and there plenty of inexpensive models to choose from.

Robotic inground Pool Automatic Cleaners

For a cement lined pool you may want to consider procuring a robotic inground pool automatic cleaner. These are the most complex and expensive but even so, they do come in a wide range of prices and feature options.

A Labor Saver

They are duel purpose, in that they vacuum your pool while they crawl around and scrub it at the same time. You can get by with a suction side pool cleaner but that choice does mean that you will be spending some time each week at your pools edge with a brush on the end of a long pole.
