From time to time you may need to send your parcels or letters a bit further than down the road to the next town or city. It s possible that you need to get them to the other side of the world.

To do this you need to usea courier that provides international services.
International Courier Companies are able to help you get your parcel delivered to its destination no matter if it has to go by land, sea or air. The courier will determine the best method, or even methods of transport to get your parcel safely to its destination on time.

In some circumstances you may even need to get your international shipment to its destination within a strict time deadline. Usually an International Courier will be able to do this for you. By sending your parcel by air it can often reach its destination within the same day (London to New York for example), and longer haul journeys such as Australia within 24 hours. Some packages may not be suitable for airfreight so may have to be sent by sea. Sending packages by sea is slower than by air. A consigment to Australia from the UK by sea can take up to 6 weeks.

A courier company may offer a range of International shipping options such as International Next Day, Standard and Premium express delivery. You should use the service that meets your requirements.

If you have no time demands on your delivery it would not make financial sense to send it via premium delivery as it will tend to cost a lot more.

By sending a parcel on standard international delivery it tends to reach most destinations between 3 and 5 days, where as time specific delivery packages can make their destinations within 1 or 2.

Even though some couriers don t own their own aircraft or cargo ships they use charter planes or even piggy back other courier companies. You should make sure you are not picking up any hidden costs here or find out if your courier company is making promises it cannot deliver.

As with any service it is important to know the company you are dealing with. If possible seek testimonials or use a courier company with an established name.
