Spots are a real pain and this is not just because they are physically unattractive but also because there are instances where having spots can also prove to be quite painful. Knowing how to deal with spots in the correct manner is something that you need to be able to master if you want to be able to have a clearer complexion.
There are a lot of myths that are concerning spots and this can make knowing how to deal with spots a little more tricky as you just do not know what to believe. Myths about spots have always existed and they will for a long time but you need to try and determine what is going to be good for you. People develop spots for a number of reasons and what works for one person will not always work for another, so treating spots can involve some trial and error as well as a great deal of patience.
One of the myths that you may be aware of is that eating too much chocolate can cause a lot of spots. This is not true and there is certainly no evidence to suggest that eating chocolate or other foods that are considered to be bad is going to lead to spots appearing.
However whilst you can eat chocolate and other foods such as the odd burger from time to time, you have to understand that these foods need to be seen as treat foods and if you are eating them a great deal then your heath is going to suffer. Can imagine eating nothing but chocolates, snacks, crisps, burgers, pizzas and nothing else on a daily basis? Well if you do then one thing that is certainly going to happen is that you are going to put on a great deal of weight and your overall health is going to suffer.
If your health is going to suffer then this is going to show on your skin and this ultimately means that you are going to get spots on a more frequent basis than compared to someone who is caring for their health and eating a well balanced diet.
As mentioned you need to see such foods as that of a treat and to eat them on occasion and not daily. You need to be able to strike a balance between the foods that you are eating and this means that you are eating foods that are packed with essential vitamins and nutrients.
The types of foods that you need to be eating are those that are going to help keep your skin healthy, fight off bacteria and also help to reduce the buildup of toxins from within the skin. So eat fruits such as that of strawberries, citrus fruits, grapes and all the other fruits that you can possibly mention.
You also need to be eating lots of vegetables and where possible you need to try and eat these raw in order to get all the nutrients that your skin is going to need.
