There is no such thing as gaining lean muscle from doing nothing. When you sleep, you rest and your body recovers from the day's activities. When you have an intense workout, you capitalize on in by resting. It is a well-known fact that the muscle you get from doing weights stays on the more you rest afterward.

Many men think that by lifting any sort of weight will eventually result in lean muscle. This is wrong. If you want to learn how to properly get lean muscle, this article is for you. Learn why lifting light weights is useless for building lean muscle and why heavy weights are the BEST way to get lean muscle. Also, learn HOW to lift heavy weights to best exploit muscle to make it grow.

If you tried following through with your resolution but realized how hard how little you knew about actually building lean muscle, then inform yourself! It's true that building lean muscle does require a whole different outlook to exercise. Because it's not as simple as lifting some weights a few days a week. You get advice ranging from freaks who lift 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, to men who lift only 1 hour a day, 2 days a week. Who's right? Who can you trust?

Consume 50-60 grams of protein per day

This is a generally easy change to incorporate into a daily routine. You can mix 10-20 grams in a home made protein shake or even a millk shake and drink it in the morning, noon and evening. Alternatively, you could also drink it right after a work out to immediately make your muscles start recovering more quickly.

Rest

It's actually not very far off when some people say that building muscle is 1% lifting and 99% recovery. Building lean muscle is a physically taxing exercise, one that leaves your energy storages depleted and your physical, hormonal, immune and mental energy drained. A good muscle program will tell you how often you need to train, based on your muscle goals. This includes sleep and days you should take off.

Diet

No, not the scary kind that the fitness industry likes shoving down our throats. I'm just referring to a healthy set of meal recommendations that we can mix and match to suit our own needs. Obviously, our diets have to change to an extent if we really want to build some serious lean muscle, but a good muscle program will provide for the men who want to maximise muscle growth without compromising on flexible menu.

It's a high ask, but there are muscle programs that are reliable and affordable that men have discovered to help guide their muscular development. It's simply a matter of finding them. Any less than these three points is probably a scam or a fad aimed at stealing your hard-earned dollars. Tread carefully and you could have in your hands the key to your ideal body.
