Max Montijo-LaMadrid is also a fugitive from the law, wanted by the Arizona authorities for the murder of an innocent teenage girl. The Tucson shooting was a deadly case of mistaken identity: chasing after the rival who just shot his friend, Montijo-LaMadrid aimed his gun at the wrong car, and killed the high school student he'd never met.
