Millions of Americans don’t get the addiction help they need because they don’t know where to turn for help. There are thousands of addiction treatment centers in the U.S. They offer different services, at different prices, some work great, some don’t work at all, and some work better than others. How do you find the one that’s right for your situation? Through an alcohol and drug rehab referral service.
What’s the difference between going directly to an addiction treatment center and working through a referral service? They go over your problem, your life, and your circumstances in detail to find a treatment center that’s right for you.
Some people, for example, need something very close to home and others would be far better off if they were in a completely different environment. Some have a built-in support group with their friends and family; others need the kind of support delivered by a 12-step program - daily or weekly meetings, a mentor they can talk to any time of day or night when temptation strikes.
Some need a program that’s relatively short-term. In fact, they might not need a full alcohol or drug rehab program at all, they might just need an alcohol or drug detox in a safe, clean, environment.
Others may have problems with drugs that are dangerous to stop taking and require medical supervision. The same can be true for someone with severe alcohol problems.
Business people often need a private facility where they can continue working during their treatment. They are not in a position to go through even a week or two without being in touch with what’s going on with their job or their company.
Others, although they may prefer something short-term, really need to go into a long-term residential addiction treatment center if they are going to get any lasting results at all.
And some people have money for treatment. Others are completely broke.
A good alcohol or drug rehab referral service is familiar with all the different treatment centers, the methods they use and the fees. They know which methods work, and which don’t. They know what your chances are for success.
They’re also often staffed with experts who have had alcohol or drug addiction problems themselves in the past and have overcome them successfully. So, they know what they’re talking about. And they usually offer intervention services – even if the person you’re trying to help doesn’t admit they have a problem, an interventionist can usually get through to them.
No matter what the situation, a good drug rehab referral service makes sure that you get help.
If you feel that the only options available to you don’t fit into your life, or you don’t know what your options are and what would work best for you, or even if you feel you’ve run out of options, contact an alcohol or drug rehab referral service. At the end of the call, you will have some options, and a direction to go in that will change your life.
